I thought the plot was great and very original. I loved how the plot unfolded initially and we got to know first Matty and Turner and then the addition of Catch. There was really a lot going on in a good way and I loved how the mystery was revealing itself. Then suddenly at about 75% it felt like a juggler who had a lot of balls in the air and just lets them all drop. Things started wrapping up almost too easily and quickly to the point it was anticlimactic and even I hate to say a little to cliché. I was left feeling a little dissatisfied like it was not quite finished but not exactly in a cliffhanger kind of way. Overall though it was still enjoyable especially the relationship between the three. It was probably more of a 3.5 read for me mainly because of the rushed ending.Product details

The Small Print edition by Barbara Elsborg Romance eBooks Reviews
When a book starts off with the release of two completely unrepentant vampires from prison you just know someone's life is about to get really complicated really fast. If you've picked up a copy of Barbara Elsborg's The Small Print, you wouldn't be wrong.
Matty Hobsbawm's middle name is quite likely "complicated". How else do you explain her current predicament of living in a house (her house) where she isn't wanted by the new tenant, mated to not one but two vampires she just met and she's being completely ignored by just about everyone she meets. That last problem is actually more than just an inconvenience but I can't say more or it would be a total spoiler. I will say I was into chapter seven when I suspected Matty's problems were more than her sleeping arrangement and brooding vampires.
Nimrod Turner, or just Turner, was one of the most respected historians in the vampire community. In his very long life he has never met anyone like Matty. She frustrates him to no end and he can't decide if he should shoot her with a tranquilizer or kiss her senseless. There is some pretty funny internal struggle type dialogue where he arguing with himself over how to handle the "tadpole". If Matty wasn't enough of daily distraction in walks the one vampire that Turner thought he would never see again, Chase. When Chase enters the picture both Matty and Turner get the shock of their lives. Where Matty and Turner's relationship is complicated and yet fun, Chase adds a dangerous and wickedly seductive element to the group.
There is so much to this story. If you've ever read Ms. Elsborg's books you'll recognize her love for fast paced adventures and tension filled plots. Her stories are typically multi-layered without being over complex. The Small Print has the action/adventure, tension and multi-layered plot down in spades. But, I have to admit I wasn't able to read this one straight through as I did with some of her other stories. As I got deeper into the story and learned more about how the released prisoners tie into the lives of Turner, Chase and Matty I had to go back and re-read certain passages that suddenly made more sense.
I've read a couple of other ménage books by Ms. Elsborg and she truly has a voice for these types of relationships. The chemisty between Turner and Chase is just as powerful as it is between them and Matty. The dialogue is witty and overall the story as a whole is very clever and unique.

This was undoubtedly the funniest menage book I have ever read. The sex scenes were hot and the rest was funny as hell
This was a fun, exciting read. I liked the interaction between the main characters. I wished it had not ended so quickly but such is life. Glad I read it.
I really loved this book. I wasn't sure I would enjoy a book about a threesome. However the characters were wonderfully written and developed that it soon became a non-issue to me. I loved the way they inter-played with one and other. The interaction was steamy and sexy but also with emotion. It also helps that this is one of my favorite authors!!
I loved this book. I liked the Vampire lore and world building. The characters are interesting, the good and bad. The good guys. Turner, is a hot vampire, and a bit of a nerd, an academic curmudgeon. Catch, is a hot were-pire, werewolf vampire and former lover of Turners. Catch is a man of action, and a bit impulsive and a protector. Their girl Mattie, a ghost of sorts, invisible to most. A likeable heroin, who spontaneity and kind heart has Turner having smiling and fun and grounding Catch. The three are smokin hot together. The bad guys, Gabriel, the face of and angel and soul of the devil. His minion Dava, both just out of prison and looking for revenge. A great action, mystery, romance with some hot sex that left room for a sequel. I really hope their is a sequel.
I enjoyed The Small Print. This story had suspense, romance with the paranormal. Imagine a spirit that lives in the house. Only a few can see the spirit, the mystery of why is the suspense. Can the mystery be solved in time?.
This is one of my favorite of Elsborg's books and it's a shame that apparently more people haven't read it. She does a great job of creating realistic, sympathetic characters -- even if the situation is rather fantastical. It's menage, but there's a lot more to the story than sex.
